Body in Action Exhibition

We went to see “The Body in Action” at the museum first thing this morning. Nicky and Imo were there to help us.

The activities were the Intestines game, The Heart and Lungs one and a dice game. There was a disgusting activity where you smell in the clowns breath and in of the breaths there was anchovy fish, It was disgusting.
I have never been there before but I’m going to try going again because it was so fun, It was the best trip ever.

My Fun Holiday

In the holidays I went to the movie Walle with Lucy. We went at 2:10 on Sunday. I got some skittles and Lucy got popcorn. In the movie there was a person called Eve and a person called Walle. Walle worked at a rubbish place and Eve lived in space. Walle also lived at the rubbish place. After the movie I went to Lucy’s house for a quick play then mum took us to get an ice-cream for a treat. It was such a fun day. (Then the next day was school.)

Last Weekends

On Sunday it was my birthday. When it was the morning I went to Mum and Dads room to open my presents. My sister made me a necklace that says Es on it because she calles me Es. My mum and Dad got me a box of chocolates and a Pink Nintendo Ds and Nintendo Ds game!!!! On Saturday it was my party and we went to the Aquatic Center for it I got a banana cake with pink icing it was delicous. It was such a wicked weekend.

Wednesday Storm

There was a massive storm in Nelson on Wednesday. My cousin rang up and said, ”My brother went to school and he went to park his car in his special park but he chose not to. So two scooters parked in the park. Then after school a big tree fell down on the park and the two scooters broke into bits, So if he had parked his car there his car would of broke. When he got home there was another disaster. Their big light heater that keeps you warm fell over out side and broke their kitchen window. So they had to put a big board up.
Another thing that happened was at Nelson Central School. There was a big pine tree outside the school and huge branches were falling off and no kids were allowed out there so Christine had to take me out to the crossing and mum picked me up.
So that was some of Nelsons storm.

Driving cars

People are driving cars to really short place and it’s not very good. In my opinion people need to bike or scooter or even walk and if you want to know why, it’s because we would be able to get exercise and also people would be able to eat really healthy food.
We need to stop driving to very short places because you would have to pay for petrol so you won’t have much money and you won’t be able to buy healthy stuff like fruit and vegetables. Also when you have kids your money will all be gone because you used it all on petrol.
So please do not drive to short places, just walk. But look on the bright side; if you walk you’ll get lots of exercise.

School Uniforms

Should children have to wear a uniform to our school?
I agree that children should have to wear a uniform.
I think they should because we have trouble finding something to wear to school. Also if you wanted to wear something and it’s in the wash you don’t know what to wear. In my opinion children should have to wear a uniform that is really good for school time and for play. So children should wear a uniform to school.

Computer Trouble

We are learning to write an argument that will persuade the reader to agree with our point of view. We need to include:
· An introduction which states the problem and tells our opinion,
· Reasons for our opinion,
· An ending which restates our opinion.
The first one we have written is about what needs to happen so we get a fair turn using the computer at home.

Eight year olds have trouble getting to use the computer at home. In my opinion everybody should have their own computers so that children don’t have fights with their big sisters or brothers. Or if that doesn’t work it should be youngest to oldest. The oldest goes at night because they go to bed later and also the younger kids would get more time to do their homework. So I think everyone should have their own computer or go youngest to oldest.

What Central Means to Me

I was in Room 5 when we first went to Teapot Valley Camp. It was the greatest fun. At Teapot Valley there was a water slide and a mini-jeep. At night we slept in cabins and made good friends. I loved it so much I want to go again.

The Legend of Willow Pattern Plate.

A long time ago in China there was a girl called Koong-se and a mandarin who lived in a palace. Koong-se fell in love with a man called Chang. But the mandarin wanted Koong-se to fall in love with a duke who was rich.

So the mandarin built a fence to keep Chang away from Koong-se. But one day Chang dressed up as a servant and snuck into the palace and Chang and Koong-se ran away to a little island. When they were running out the mandarin saw them. By the time he had caught up he was running with a whip over the bridge and Koong-se had the jewels. After a wee while the mandarin gave up. But after three days they started hunting for them.

Then after a while they found them and put them to death. The Gods turned them into doves.
